Elephant Riding

sunny 40 °C

Susan at long last had her elephant ride. We visited Island Safari where we all had first a ride on a cart drawn by on Ox, had pics on a real Water Buffalo, saw a demonstration of Thai cooking - and tasted what we thought was spicy but mild to the Thai's. We then had the elephant ride which was fantastic. Following this there was a baby elephant show and elephant massage and kisses - this consisted of the elephant stomping on your back and with its truck giving you kisses - some of the girls got excited as this was their first kiss for a couple of weeks.
A monkey show concluded the time at Island Safari.
The afternoon consisted of shopping - we don't want the family opening the visa bills until after we get home, although by the end of the day we were getting pretty good at bartering.
Weather extremely hot up to 40 degrees.

Partying on the Ship

overcast 24 °C

We are no longer Polywogs having now crossed the equator. We had a great time at the crossing ceremony and partied to the wee small hours at the Island Party - dancing to all the island party music including the conga, margirita, and many more good songs.
We need to have a quiet time this evening as we begin our land tours starting in Phuket tomorrow morning early - great on board lectures about our destinations and what to do on land at each port.
Food continues to be a highlight and the cocktail drinks intake have increased with the increasing temperatures - 30 degrees yesterday.

What an amazing time we are all having, experience many new adventures eg ladies afternoon tea, spa each morning, room service and wait for it!! exercising each morning - to name just a few. Highlight of the day is pre-dinner cocktail of the day plus another in the early afternoon or after dinner depends on the mood of the day. The sea has been remarkably calm and the weather super hot - 28 degrees at 9 am. We were sitting on our balcony the other night watching whales show off. To add to our exercise regime we have been line dancing most days. The food is unbelievable - we have never seen so much variety of food before and it's 24/7!! all our pants are a little tight already!! and we are exercising - must be the cocktails!! We have met some lovely people on board - most of them on the 6 plus cruise!! We are getting ready to party this afternoon (and evening) with King Nepture crossing the equator. At the moment we are pollywogs!. Not much more to tell other than we are having the most amazing fantastic time of our lives and haven't had time to miss anyone to much!!

All Four Together

Travelling to Perth the three of us are upgraded to Premium which means we got the comfy seats at the front of the plane.
Anne joined us that night so we are all four crusiers together at last.
We did sight seeing, shopping and bused around city yesterday. We needed to check our funds left as the shopping was intense.
Finished the shopping with a nice beer which nearly broke the bank. Trying to pack before we head to our ship this afternoon.
Weather in Perth perfect.

View Asia Cruise on AsiaJuly10's travel map.

Day two has three of us doing the sight seeing thing around Sydney. We arrived in the Central City by train and headed to Darling Harbour then off to Circular Quay and Manly for lunch and a liquid refreshment.
We have used the most of our multi day pass training, busing and ferrying around Sydney.
Home to Bonnie and Bruce's for a quiet night of drinks. We are having strawberries with our wine as we need to put some friut in our diet.
Need to get up early as off to Perth.
